Product test for mpb.com

Last week I came home to two massive boxes full of photographic goodies courtesy of the legendary guys and girls at mpb.com

MPB Photographic was started by Matt Barker way back in the day where he would repair cameras and sell them on ebay, but since then he has grown his business into one of the biggest online, new and secondhand, camera sites in the UK. I have always chosen to purchase my camera gear from MPB as their customer service, trading-in quotes, and delivery are outstanding, and seeing as I have lived outside of the UK for a while, this has always been greatly appreciated! So it was an honour to be asked to road test a few items from their new accessories line.

Products on trial:

- Carbon tripod w/ball head

- Camera backpack

- Plastic 'peli-case'

This weekend I travelled to a small ex gold mining settlement called St Bathans, and explored the Blue Lake with my new tripod. It was an exceptionally windy day, but even being armed with such a lightweight carbon tripod, it performed amazingly and it's light weight allowed me to go scrambling and climbing up banks and cliffs to reach the best spots to shoot from!
