Since I was young I've always been drawn to places with a strange or depressing atmosphere. Beachy Head is one of those places. No matter how hard you try, the thought of this place being a suicide 'destination' is a hard one to shake out of your mind when you walk along the cliff path. For many this scenic walk will be the final path they take.
The obvious danger of the crumbling cliff edge reminds you of the instant danger here, but it is the small crosses that line up almost defiantly along the edge, that make the danger presented here feel so real.
