The Tempest Two

For James and Tom's next adventure the boys, or The Tempest Two as they are know, plan to complete an epic triathlon in the wild landscapes of Patagonia. It will consist of cycling 1600km, running a 65km mountain trail, and finishes with a 200km stand-up paddle (SUP) through glacial lakes. Definitely their toughest expedition yet....and they've rowed the Atlantic!

I can't wait to document their trip!

Here are some recent shots from one of their training days.

What Super Moon!?

I had BIG plans for the super moon...I had sketches. I could picture the shot I wanted in my head. I knew the settings I needed to capture a cool shot. I had everything but visibility. I wanted to shoot my friend Jack crossing the Crib Goch ridge line that leads up to the Mt Snowdon summit, but unfortunately the clouds set in and all we got was a brief glimpse of an amazing sunset above a cloud inversion. I was desperate to use my new Elinchrom off camera flash system, so the next day we went to the slate quarries to play around with it a little. I feel like it is a game changer already for my photography!

Puzzle Wood, Forest of Dean

Soon as we found out that Puzzle Wood was a key location for the filming of Star Wars: A Force Awakens we had to go visit! It is an enchanting place full of caves, canyons, moss covered boulders and trees. I can see why they wanted to shoot scenes here!
